FERC Approves Williams Pipeline Expansion

LCG, June 28, 2002--The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given Williams Cos. approval to expand Williams' Northwest Pipeline system.

The Evergreen project will cost $240 million and connect Sumas, Washington to Chehalis, Washington.

Four sections of pipeline, 28 miles of pipeline altogether, will span the distance parallel to the system already in place.

The project also includes the building of compression equipment.

Williams intends to start construction this summer and expects to have the pipeline in service by 2003.
